Why use Desktop Capture?
Increased Efficiency - semi automated, ad hoc extraction of data from Tiff and PDF images with instant OCR field population. Index results from the OCR software engine can be connected to any web or Windows form application.
Better Accuracy - re-keying of data from an image is typically error prone which results in downstream line-of-business applications having an increase in exception queues. The Single Click Entry Viewer plus OCR software extracts the exact data from the document so a user cannot rekey the data incorrectly.
How it works
In the Open Text Data Capture window users are guided through the input fields of the target application by the navigator, a small information box attached to their mouse cursor. The user points to the required information on the document image, clicks once, and Open Text Desktop Capture transfers the data to the appropriate field in the application. Small but effective features help users to locate the needed information in the document quickly and efficiently.
