XML Management & E-Invoicing
XML Management
AutoFORM LaserNet XML provides powerful easy to use tools to help both the sender and receiver to use XML
for computer to computer information exchange, eliminating the need for tedious, time consuming manual
input.
- No programming required.
- No application changes or upgrades are required.
Translate existing legacy data to XML
Your customers want XML invoices and order acknowledgements but you want to avoid an expensive system
upgrade. LaserNet enables users to automate the often painstaking and lengthy process of transforming
legacy data into well structured, valid XML output - without complex scripting or requiring expensive
changes to your IT application.
Furthermore, LaserNet enables a single print stream to be rendered in a variety of XML standards such as ebXML cXML or FpXML so that you can arrange for the XML to be delivered in your trading partners preferred choice of XML standard.
Convert XML files into printed documents
Many applications now produce XML as their primary output data but you still need paper. AutoFORM
LaserNet provides the tools to automatically convert XML output into printable documents.
- Drag & Drop XML Mapping - No looping or logic control required!
- Overlay Design: Use Any Desk Top Publisher - No Scripts Required.
- Converts XML to any printing, electronic transmission or archive format including PDF, RTF etc.
Modify one XML output schema to meet different XML, Text or CSV formats
Whilst you are able to send and receive XML files, they are not in the format required, or the XML output
has missing essential data, needs dates & numbers to be converted into different text formats. Companies
using XML will undoubtedly need to produce and accept XML in a variety of different standards or
schemata. LaserNet simplifies and automates the XML conversion process, dramatically reducing the time
and costs associated with accepting and delivering and multitude of XML standards.
UNeDocs
Create and process XML UNeDocs with any IT application. No need to buy a separate software tool.
E-Invoicing
Immediate savings can be achieved by switching from paper to e-invoices. Gartner suggest that the
customer costs can be reduced from around £10.00 to less than a pound, as a number of invoice data input
and checking procedures can be automated. For the sender, the cost benefits are around £2-4 by
eliminating postage, paper handling, filing and printing costs, whilst offering the opportunity to
automate some of the invoice data collation procedures.
Using AutoFORM LaserNet you can now take advantage of these cost benefits, both for Accounts Receivables (sales invoicing) and for Accounts Payables.
What is an e-invoice?
- An e-invoice is a legally recognisable invoice data file that can be passed directly to the customer’s computer system, without being manually keyed in.
- EU directive 2001/115/EC and national law in each European state, allows and encourages invoices to be sent electronically.
- E-invoices are created in various formats: XML, CSV and EDI.
- E-invoices are not PDF invoices although PDF versions, with a traditional paper layout, can accompany e-invoices so that they can be easily read by the human eye for auditing purposes.
- E-invoices are transmitted over the Internet or through VAN (Value Added Network) service providers using a customer’s existing email server.
How AutoFORM LaserNet helps
Although the differing requirements may make e-invoicing look complex, AutoFORM LaserNet makes it simple.
Instead of expecting operators to create invoices to meet specific country conditions, AutoFORM does this
task for them. The invoice is generated via the ERP using the standard procedure, AutoFORM LaserNet then
analyses the ERP output for the country code and applies the minimum mandatory data requirements for that
particular country.
Furthermore, the data is automatically presented in the appropriate XML format selected by the customer. AutoFORM LaserNet therefore avoids a number of the difficulties in creating a variety of different invoices manually, allowing organisations to create e-invoices quickly, easily and, more importantly, accurately.
